What is the difference between an e-mail address
and a mailbox?
Imagine an E-mail as a letter and
a Mailbox as a letterbox. "General" mail
can be delivered to the household's main letterbox while specialized
or private mail may be directed to additional letterboxes which
are administered separately.

many e-mail addresses can I have?
There is no limit to the number
of e-mail addresses you may have allocated to your account.

do I add e-mail addresses?
Click
on Member Services then My Account.
Sign-on to your administration account and click on [E-Mail Accounts]
Add Alias. This will allow you to enter additional
e-mail addresses to any of your accounts/domains.

you to enter additional Mailboxes.
Domain
Names
What
is a domain name?
A Domain is a group of computers or devices that shares a common
directory database and is administered as a unit. On the Internet,
domains organize network addresses into hierarchical subsets.
For example, the .com domain identifies host systems used for
commercial business
What
is a sub-domain and how do I set one up?
A Sub-Domain is an alternate domain name that INCLUDES your ISP
domain name. e.g. mydomain.RacCal.com.
To
create a Sub-Domain, Click here My
Account, sign-on to your administration account and click
on [Sub-Domain] Add. This will create a sub-domain of your choice.
How
many sub-domains can I have?
There is no limit to the number of Sub-Domains you may have. Note
the sub-domain will always only be a sub-set of the main ISP domain.
i.e. You cannot have mail@first.second.RacCal.com
How
much web space can I have?
There
is no limit to how much web space you can use. However, we do
expect the web space to be used responsibly and that regular disk
housekeeping is undertaken.

Affinity
What
is RacCal.Com Affinity Partnership?
The Affinity Partnership is the mechanism used to distribute funds
to third party causes such as charities, schools.
How
does the Affinity Partnership work?
When someone purchases broadband services from RacCal.com they
will indicate an organisation (selected from the "where did you
hear us from" drop-down box) which will be recipient of the affinity
payment. This payment, currently 4% of the monthly tariff for
512Kbps services, will automatically be paid to the chosen organisation.
What
are the default Affinity Charities/Organisations?
Currently we will distribute non-allocated affinity payments evenly
to four registered charities of our choice.
What
if I cannot see my chosen Charity/Organisation?
If the chosen organisation is not present on the "where did you
hear us from" drop-down box, e-mail the details of the organisation
using the Affinity link on the left-hand menu bar.
Can
I change my chosen affinity Charity/Organisation?
Yes. Simply e-mail your details and the new organization's details
to Affinity@RacCal.com
What
if I do not have a preferred Charity/Organisation?
If you do not have a preference you make select "No Preference"
on the "where did you hear us from" drop-down box and the payment
will be made to our "default" selection of charities.
Can
I receive the affinity payment myself?
Yes. The payment will be made annually to you if the form of Amazon.com
gift vouchers via your e-mail address.
Where
does the money from the Amazon links go?
If you purchase goods via the RacCal.com link to Amazon.com we
will donate upto 10% of any revenue generated by these links to
our four default charities.
Can
I split the affinity payment?
Yes. EMail us at Affinity@raccal.com
to let us know the organisations you wish to split your affinity
payment between.
